The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) Center at Baku Olympic Stadium has suspended its operations until February 1, 2025, due to preparations for COP29, which will be held in Baku.
According to Report, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) officially announced this temporary closure on their website.
As a result, VAR for the Azerbaijan Cup and Azerbaijan Premier League games in the 2024/2025 season will only be available through a mobile unit
AFFA currently has two mobile VAR vehicles in its inventory.
COP29 will take place in Baku from November 11 through 22.
