Arsenal 'added' to UEFA watchlist amid Financial Fair Play concerns

Arsenal have been placed on a UEFA watchlist containing 20 European clubs as the governing body assesses whether they have breached Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, Report informs, citing foreign media sources.

The Gunners have been included due to concerns over losses amounted by the club over a three-year period, with other European heavyweights also in hot water over their recent financial difficulties.

UEFA are already thought to be preparing to announce sanctions against clubs that have been proven to have breached FFP rules for the period up to 2020-21.

Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Inter Milan, and AS Roma are understood to be the clubs in question that have allegedly fallen foul of UEFA's financial measures.

But Arsenal could be in danger of joining them after posting the highest losses in the Premier League over the past three years, totalling around £213million. This included £127m alone in 2020-21, and clubs are only allowed a total expenditure on transfers, wages, and agent fees of 70 per cent of its revenue.
