Updated 1 manat banknotes released into circulation in Azerbaijan

Updated 1 manat banknotes with the signature of the current chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Taleh Kazimov, have entered into circulation in Azerbaijan today, Report reports, citing the CBA.

According to the bank, the signature is depicted in the upper left corner of the front side of the banknote. The year of issue “2023” is also reflected on the banknote.

The remaining design elements and technical parameters of the updated 1 manat banknote are kept the same as those of the previously issued banknote of the same denomination.

Old banknotes will also remain in circulation.
