Turnover of Baku Stock Exchange almost triples

The total value of transactions concluded on all financial instruments at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to just over 13.6 billion manats ($8 billion) during the first two months of 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.6-fold, Report informs, citing BSE.

The number of transactions concluded in this period increased by 2.4 times to 5,396.

Some 95% or 12.94 billion manats (just over $7.61 billion) of BSE's turnover accounted for repo operations, which is 3.7 times more year-on-year.

During the reporting period, the value of transactions on government securities decreased by 89.5% to almost 159.3 million manats ($93.7 million), while the value of transactions on corporate securities increased by 61.7% to 516.8 million manats ($304 million).
