Turkish investments in Azerbaijan outpace Azerbaijani investments in Türkiye 5-to-1

In 2024, Türkiye's foreign direct investments (FDI) in Azerbaijan’s economy amounted to $1.219 billion.

Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that the investment volume decreased by 6.4%, or $83.394 million, compared to the previous year.

The share of Turkish investments in the total FDI in Azerbaijan stands at 17.3%.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan invested $248.957 million USD in Türkiye's economy in the past year (-86.28%), with the share of Azerbaijani investments in Türkiye making up 14.1% of the total FDI.

In 2024, the total FDI in Azerbaijan's economy amounted to $7.046 billion (with a 5.83% increase compared to the previous year).

In 2023, the volume of Turkish investments in Azerbaijan was $1.302 billion, while the total volume of FDI in the country was $6.658 billion. Azerbaijan invested $1.815 billion in Türkiye, and the total volume of Azerbaijani foreign investments amounted to $3.117 billion.
