Transactions worth AZN98 million carried out in Azerbaijan through instant payment system

Through the Instant Payment System (AÖS), put into operation in October 2020, 115,7 transactions in the amount of AZN 281,2 million were carried out in 2021, Report informs, citing the annual review of payment systems, published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The document also states that in 2021, the AÖS platform introduced cashless payment via a QR code. In 2021, 2,300 payments worth AZN7,900 were made using a QR code.
