Surplus of current operations of Azerbaijan increases almost sixfold

In the first half of 2022, a surplus of $10.33 billion was created in Azerbaijan's current account balance, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to CBA, this figure is 5.5 times higher than the same period last year.
The total surplus in the foreign trade balance, $13.022 billion (3.7 times more), was formed thanks to a deficit in the balance of services of $1.331 billion (2.4% more), a deficit in the balance of the primary income of $2.653 billion (4, 8 times more) and the surplus of $1.293 billion (5.9% more) in the recurring income balance.
