Provision of crediting by Azerbaijan’s state-owned banks increases by 25% 

As of April 1, 2022, the provision of crediting in Azerbaijan’s economy stood at 18,007.8 million manats, up 2.4% from a month earlier, 22.3% from a year ago, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

Some 14,005.2 million manats or 77.8% of the provision of crediting fell to the share of private banks, which is 21.5% higher than 2021.

The provision of crediting by the state-owned banks amounted to 3,523 million manats, showing a 24.7% compared to a year earlier. The proportion of the state-owned banks in the provision of crediting increased to 19.6% from 19.2%.

As of the end of March, the provision of crediting by the Non-Banking Credit Organizations (NBCO) made up 479.6 million, 27.7% higher than in 2021. Share of the NBCOs in the provision of crediting rose to 2.7% from 2.6%.
