Probability of Fed discount rate's hit in March up to 94%

Baku. 1 February. REPORT.AZ/ The probability of growth in discount rate by US Federal Reserve System (Fed) up to 94% at the next session in March.

Report informs citing the Bloomberg, this presumption is coming from the futures contracts.

Notably, although Fed's current monetary policy rate was kept constant, signals were given that interest rate trend would continue. Notably, the probability of interest rate increase in March is 88% before the session.

At yesterday's session, it was said that inflation in the US will rise this year and find a balance at 2% target level in medium-term perspective. According to Fed’s funding rate swaps the probability of increasing discount rate at 2 sessions is 100% by September 2018.
