Over 2,000 Azerbaijani servicemen registered for housing

The first meeting in the new composition of the commission, created by a presidential decree "On measures to strengthen social protection of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan" from December 28, 2011, was held today, Report informs with reference to the Ministry of Finance.

The chairman of the commission, Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said that in order to ensure the execution of the presidential decree on the basis of the list presented by the Defense Ministry, out of 2,387 registered servicemen for housing, 2,093 were provided with fully renovated apartments in the cities of Baku, Ganja, in Absheron District and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

At the meeting, on the basis of the list presented by the Defense Ministry, it was decided to register another 2,137 servicemen for housing.
