Orkhan Nazarli: Turnover of non-oil sector in Azerbaijan grew 22.6% last year

Last year, the non-oil sector in Azerbaijan saw a 22.6% increase in turnover, Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy Orkhan Nazarli said on February 10 at the conference “Heydar Aliyev and the tax system of Azerbaijan: towards new challenges”, Report informs.
He noted that last year the number of active taxpayers increased by 7%, the number of active VAT payers grew by 15.1%, the number of active facilities increased by 3.2%. In January of this year, 712,000 taxpayers were registered.
According to Nazarli, in 2019-2022, the number of labor contracts in the non-oil private sector amounted to 291,435: “The share of the private sector in the total amount of labor contracts was 47.6%.”
