Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) has elected Sahil Babayev, finance minister for the Republic of Azerbaijan, as the new Chair of the Board of Governors for the upcoming one-year term, Report informs referring to the BSTDB.
Governors for the Republic of Bulgaria and Georgia were elected as Deputy Chairpersons.
The 28th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors will be held in Azerbaijan.
The exact date and venue of the meeting will be determined in due course.
The Board of Governors of the BSTDB held its 27th Annual Meeting under the Chairmanship of Artur Javadyan, BSTDB governor for the Republic of Armenia.
The BSTDB is an international financial institution established by Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Türkiye and Ukraine. The BSTDB headquarters are in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The BSTDB supports economic development and regional cooperation by providing loans, credit lines, equity and guarantees for projects and trade finance in the public and private sectors of its member countries. The authorized capital of the bank is 3.45 billion euros.
