Net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks up by over 25%

As of February 1, 2023, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to over 25.868 billion manats ($15.21 billion), Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, this figure is 3.3% higher than a month ago and 25.3% more year-on-year.

At the end of January 2023, the net domestic assets of banks exceeded 16.146 billion manats ($9.49 billion) – 9.3% less than the previous month’s figure, but 15.3% higher than a year ago.

There are 25 banks operating in Azerbaijan.
