Net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks grow over 11%

As of June 1 this year, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 20.984 billion manats ($12.344 billion), Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

This is 1.4% less than in monthly comparison, 4% more than at the beginning of the year and 11.2% more than in June last year.

At the end of May this year, the net domestic assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 16.016 billion manats ($9.421 billion), which is 11.6% more than in the monthly comparison, 10.6% more than at the beginning of the year, and 38.3% more than in annual comparison.

There are 26 banks operating in Azerbaijan.
