Net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks exceed AZN 20B for 1st time

As of January 1, 2022, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to over 20.17 billion manats, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

According to the bank, this figure is 5% more than a month earlier and 9.4% more than on January 1, 2021.

At the end of December 2021, the banks' net domestic assets amounted to 14.475 billion manats, 4.8% more than a month earlier and 34.7% more than a year earlier.

There are 26 banks in Azerbaijan.
