More than half of foreign investments in Azerbaijan made in oil and gas sector

The foreign direct investments in Azerbaijan’s economy in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to $1.8 billion, up 28.6% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting period, the share of the oil and gas sector in the investments was 59.5%, 29.7 percentage points less than a year earlier.
