Investment in Azerbaijan's economy up nearly 5%

Investment in fixed capital in Azerbaijan made 10.154 billion manats ($5.97 billion) from January through September of this year, marking a 4.6% growth over the same period of 2021, Report informs, referring to the State Statistical Committee.

Over the past year, investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 13.5%, and investments in the non-oil-and-gas sector increased by 18.1%.

Of the last year's investments, 5.993 billion manats ($3.5 billion), or 59%, were made in production, 3.500 billion manats ($2 billion), or 34.5% in services, 660.1 million manats ($388.3 million) or 6.5% in housing construction.

Domestic funds made up 7.665 billion manats ($4.5 billion) (75.5%) of the funds directed to fixed capital and construction and installation work amounted to 7.359 billion manats ($4.3 billion) (72.5%).
