Internal risk factors for inflation pressure identified in Azerbaijan

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has highlighted internal risk factors that could accelerate inflation in the country, including the activation of expenditure factors and excess demand.
Report cites the CBA stating that credit activity is also being continuously monitored for its potential impact on price stability.
The CBA notes that no significant changes have recently been observed in the inflation risk balance. Global risks, such as potential price volatility in international commodity markets amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and trade wars, are seen as factors that could create inflationary pressure.
According to the current policy, the annual inflation forecast for 2025 is expected to stay within the target range of 4±2%.
