ING forecasts slowdown in monetary policy tightening in Azerbaijan

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is expected to lower its key interest rate by 0.25 percentage points to 7% in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Report informs citing Dutch ING Group that, based on the group's projections, the CBA will maintain the interest rate at 7% until the third quarter of 2026.
Then, in the third quarter of 2026, the rate is expected to rise to 7.25%, and further increase to 7.75% in the fourth quarter.
Earlier, ING had predicted a tightening of monetary policy in the country, projecting the rate to rise to 7.5% starting from the second quarter of the current year.
It is worth noting that on June 11 of this year, the Central Bank left the key interest rate unchanged at 7.25%.
