IMF reveals inflation forecasts in Azerbaijan until 2030

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts average annual inflation in 2025 in Azerbaijan at 5.7%, and annual inflation at 5.2%, Report informs referring to the IMF.

According to forecasts, average annual inflation in 2026 will be 4.5%, and in 2027-2029 at 4%. At the same time, annual inflation in the period 2026-2029 is expected to be at the level of 4% annually.

According to the assessment of Azerbaijan's Economy Ministry, average annual inflation in the country in 2025 will be 4.6%, and in 2026 it will decrease to 4%. In January of this year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan forecast inflation at 5.5% in 2025 and 3.8% in 2026.

The UN expects inflation in Azerbaijan at 3.6% in 2025 and 3.1% in 2026.

The World Bank estimates average annual inflation in the country at 2.3% in both years. International rating agencies also give restrained forecasts: S&P Global expects 4% in 2025 and 3% in 2026, while Moody's published a similar forecast.

Average annual inflation in Azerbaijan in 2024 was 2.2%, and in January-February 2025 it rose to 5.4%.
