The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised its forecast for global economic growth to 3% in 2025 and 3.1% in 2026, which is 0.2 and 0.1 percentage points higher than the April estimates, respectively.
As Report informs, this is stated in the fund's World Economic Outlook.
The IMF notes that the forecast upgrade reflects the shifting of economic activity to an earlier period in anticipation of tariff increases, lower-than-previously-expected average effective US tariffs, improved financial conditions, including due to the weakening of the dollar, as well as fiscal stimulus in several major economies.
