Government mortgage lending up 17% in Azerbaijan

Mortgage lending through the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund (MCGF) amounted to 157.1 million manats ($92.41) in January-April 2022, 16.55% higher than the same period in 2021, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting period, the loans refinanced by the MCGF showed a 17.6% increase and settled at 100.3 million manats ($59 million).
The funds attracted through the issue of securities stood at 90 million manats ($53 million), up 63.6% from the previous year.
The funds allocated from the state budget to the MCGF rose by 33.7% to 47.6 million manats ($28 million).
