December gold futures rose 1.1% to $4,621 per troy ounce, Report informs referring to trading data.
On the Comex exchange, the last time the price of the precious metal rose above $4,600 per ounce was on May 29 of this year.
September silver futures rose 1.34% to trade at $69.02 per troy ounce.
