Dollar strengthens against yen ahead of Fed chief's speech

The dollar is rising against the yen, while it has fallen against the euro in anticipation of the speech of the US Federal Reserve chief this week, Report informs referring to trading data.
The dollar rate against the yen rose to 147.45 yen from 147.20 yen at the previous close.
The euro rate at the same time rose to $1.1702 from the previous close of $1.1698.
And the dollar index (the rate against a basket of currencies of six countries - US trading partners) rose by a symbolic 0.02% to 97.87 points.
