Details of Azerbaijan’s state debt revealed

As of July 1, 2025, Azerbaijan's state debt exceeded 25.695 billion manats ($15.115 billion), accounting for 19.7% of the country’s projected GDP for the year, Report informs, citing the country’s Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry, this is a slight drop compared to July 1, 2024.
Of the total debt, external debt amounted to just over 8.518 billion manats (just over $5.01 billion) or 6.6% of GDP, marking a 6.6% decrease year-on-year (YoY), while domestic debt reached 17.177 billion manats ($10.104 billion) or 13.1% of GDP, reflecting a 3.7% YoY increase.
