Central Bank appeals to banks based in Azerbaijan - EXCLUSIVE

Baku. 17 March. REPORT.AZ/ Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) addressed letter to commercial banks operating in Azerbaijan.
Report was informed in bank circles, letter signed by CBA Director General Akshin Veliyev recommends to take proper steps to meet cash demand of customers on Novruz holiday.
Banks should take necessary action to satisfy demand of customers in cash within nominal structure. CBA also demands development of cash reserves.
According to information, CBA established ‘hot line’ for commercial banks, which they can use upon necessity related to cash supply.
Notably, only today the CBA’s cash service works in extended operation mode.
