CBA: Tensions with Russia doesn’t significantly affect imports, exports, and money transfers

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is monitoring the impact of tensions in relations with Russia on import-export operations, according to Taleh Kazimov, Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Report informs.

He made the remark during a press conference dedicated to the decision of the CBA regarding the parameters of the interest rate corridor.

"Russia is one of our main trading partners in the non-oil-gas sector. Today, we do not see any sharp changes in this area," Kazimov noted.

Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department at the CBA, stated that there are no significant changes in both import-export and money transfers related to interstate tensions.
