CBA: Any AI implementation without data could fail

Any implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) without data can fail, the Director of the IT Operations Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Sadig Akhundov, said at the Finance and Technology Exhibition (Fintex Summit) held in Baku, Report informs.

According to Akhundov, when implementing AI, the first thing to pay attention to is the aspects of "data quality" and "data management". "IT and data security issues are also important aspects. Thus, it is very important that when implementing any 'use case', there is no leakage of personal data. In this context, the IT infrastructure itself is also of great importance," he said.

Recalling the implementation of the RBS (Risk-Based Supervision) project together with the World Bank, the CBA official emphasized that, thanks to this, more proactive work will be carried out. "The CBA uses the tools of 'supervision texnology' and 'regulatory texnology'. This will help us in the future," Akhundov said.
