An international scientific-practical conference on financial security will be held in Baku on May 23–24 as part of the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty, in collaboration with the Financial Monitoring Service.
Report informs, citing the Chamber of Accounts, that the event, titled "The Role, Duties, and Responsibilities of Supervisory Authorities in Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing," will gather officials not only from Azerbaijani institutions but also leaders of auditing and accounting bodies from countries including Israel, Pakistan, and Latvia, as well as international experts in AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism).
The second day of the conference will focus on the exchange of experience and best practices in the AML/CFT field among participants.
