Azerbaijani companies' entry into London Stock Exchange discussed

The listing of securities of Azerbaijani companies on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) was discussed, Report informs, citing the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE).

The BSE's delegation paid a working visit to London within the framework of the 7th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UK. As part of the visit, the delegation participated in a meeting at the LSE together with representatives of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the British Embassy in Azerbaijan. The meeting discussed the possibility of Azerbaijani companies having dual listing on the LSE and access to foreign capital, as well as the inclusion of Azerbaijani companies in the data and analytics of the LSE in order to increase the awareness of foreign investors about the capital markets of Azerbaijan.

Mutual cooperation between the stock markets will support the existing close economic relations between the two countries, and at the same time, will play an important role in the development of local companies with the capital markets.
