As of April 1, 2022, the assets of Azerbaijan-based banks amounted to 39,673.2 million manats, up 22% from a year earlier, Report informs citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
Of this, the loans issued to customers amounted to 116,350.0 million manats. Year-on-year, the loan portfolio grew 24%, the share of loans in assets rose from 40.6% to 41.2%.
In the reporting period, the liabilities grew by 25.5% to 34,731.7 million manats, with the deposit portfolio risen by 34.2% to 28,259.2 million manats. Individuals accounted for 10,200.8 million manats, while legal entities made up 18,058.4 million manats.
The liabilities of the banks to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) dropped by 14.6% to 317.2 million manats, and net worth surged by 1.9% to 4,941.5 million manats.
