Azerbaijan spends about $3.3B on Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur

In 2023, 5.6 billion manats ($3.3 billion) were allocated from the state budget for the reconstruction and restoration of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance, that 4.8 billion manats ($2.8 billion), or 85.9%, of those funds were allocated from the targeted expenses intended for Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, 145.4 million manats ($85.5 million), or 2.6% from the President's reserve fund, 145.3 million manats ($85.5 million), or 2.6%, from the reserve fund of the state budget, 32.5 million manats ($19.1 million), or 0.6%, from the state capital investment (investment costs), and 464.8 million manats ($273.4 million), or 8.3%, from the funds earmarked from other sources in the state budget.
