Azerbaijan’s budget revenues through customs authorities drop by nearly 3%

In the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues through customs authorities reached nearly 1.43 billion manats (around $841.5 million), reflecting a 2.7% year-on-year (YoY) decline, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.
Revenues from customs duties fell by 1.2% YoY to 399.035 million manats ($234.7 million), while value-added tax (VAT) collections dropped by 4.3% YoY, totaling just under 964.5 million manats ($567.3 million).
At the same time, excise tax revenues surged by 14% YoY to 55.447 million manats (just over $32.6 million), and road tax revenues climbed 18.9% YoY to 11.254 million manats ($6.62 million).
