Azerbaijan's banking sector sees 6% drop in net profit

Azerbaijan's banking sector earned 576.6 million manats ($339.17 million) in net profit in the first half of 2025.
Report informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that this is 6.1% less compared to the same period last year.
During the first six months, banks' operating income amounted to 3.275 billion manats ($1.926 billion; 18.5% more YoY), operating expenses were 2.360 billion manats ($1.388 billion; 27.2% more), allocations to special reserves were 204.4 million manats ($120.235 million; 19.3% more), unexpected income was 0.5 million manats ($294,117; 79.2% less), and profit tax payments were 134.1 million manats ($78.88 million; 8.05% more).
