Azerbaijan’s AZN50 banknote recognized world’s new best one

On February 22, the International Banking Association (IACA-USA) held an international conference in Washington DC with the participation of the world's leading central banks, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

At the conference, in the nomination “The best new banknote of the world”, a competition was organized for new banknotes issued along with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan by the central banks of more than 150 countries, including the European Central Bank, the central banks of England, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Australia, Mexico, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Philippines, Qatar, etc.

The updated AZN50 banknote of Azerbaijan was awarded the title of “The Best New Banknote in the World” for its theme, design, and security systems.
