Azerbaijan reduces net financial liabilities by nearly $2B

Azerbaijan reduced its net financial liabilities by $1,921.8 million in the first half of 2022, Report informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

Bank says the reduction was provided by a growth of $3,220.6 million in direct investments in Azerbaijan (+2.2 times), a decline of $5,256.3 million in the repatriation of investments (+2.1 times), an expansion of $452.2 million in oil bonus (up slightly), a decrease of $153.4 million in portfolio investments (+255.7 times), and reduction of $184.9 million in other investments (-2.2 times).
