Azerbaijan posts 3% surge in broad money supply in manats

As of March 1, 2025, Azerbaijan’s broad money supply (M3) totaled 46.675 billion manats ($27.45 billion), reflecting a 2.4% increase from the previous month, a 0.4% rise since the start of the year, and 4.3% growth compared to the same period in 2024, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The money supply (M2) in manats exceeded 35.436 billion manats ($20.845 billion), marking a 2% monthly increase but a 3.3% decline since the beginning of the year. However, it showed a 3.4% rise compared to the same period last year.

During this timeframe, the money supply (M1) amounted to 28.156 billion manats ($16.562 billion), indicating a 1.9% monthly decline, a 5% drop since the start of the year, and 1.7% lower levels compared to March 2024.

Additionally, the cash mass outside banks (M0) stood at 15.550 billion manats ($9.147 billion), reflecting a 1.7% increase from the previous month, a 1.9% decrease since the beginning of the year, and a 2% rise compared to the same period last year.
