Azerbaijan observes 3% decline in state budget surplus

In January-June of 2025, the revenues of Azerbaijan's state budget amounted to nearly 19.804 billion manats ($11.649 billion), while expenditures stood at just over 17.095 billion manats ($10.056 billion), Report informs, citing the country’s Finance Ministry.
According to the data, there was a 5.1% increase in revenues and a 6.5% growth in expenditures compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
Budget revenues were executed 3.7% above the forecast, while budget expenditures were 1% below the forecast.
As a result, a surplus of just over 2.708 billion manats (just over $1.593 billion) was generated in the stated budget for the first half of 2025, marking a 3% decrease year-on-year.
