Azerbaijan invests $900M in restoring liberated territories in 1H2025

In January-June 2025, 1.55 billion manats ($911.76 billion) were spent for the reconstruction and restoration of the liberated territories in Azerbaijan, which is 38.8% of the annual planned volume of funds, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance.

Financing was carried out on the basis of cash orders submitted by customer organizations for the respective projects.

According to the ministry, 1.35 billion manats ($794.12 million) of these funds were directed to infrastructure projects, including:

- 1.06 billion manats ($623.53 million) for the design, construction and reconstruction of automobile roads;

- 239.5 million manats ($140.88 million) for the design and construction of new residential complexes;

- 33.7 million manats ($19.82 million) for the preparation of design and estimate documentation and the construction of main water pipes, sewage and rainwater collectors;

- 20.5 million manats ($12.06 million) for the organization of industrial parks and the creation of infrastructure on their territory;

- 1.7 million manats ($1 million) for the provision of settlements in liberated territories with external electricity supply.

In addition, 182 million manats ($107.06 million) were allocated for the financing of social projects in the spheres of education, health care, culture and sports, and 16.8 million manats ($9.8 million) were directed to the demining of territories.
