Azerbaijan increases direct investments in UAE nearly fivefold

In 2024, Azerbaijan's direct foreign investments (FDI) in the UAE economy totaled $457.531 million.

Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that the annual investment volume grew by 4.82 times, or $362.712 million.

Azerbaijani investments in the UAE account for 26% of the total FDI in Azerbaijan.

In turn, the UAE invested $490.156 million (+53.67%) in Azerbaijan's economy, with UAE investments making up 7% of the total FDI in Azerbaijan.

In 2024, total direct foreign investments in Azerbaijan amounted to $7.046 billion, marking a growth of 5.83%. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s direct investments in other countries reached $1.762 billion (-43.5%).

In 2023, FDI from the UAE to Azerbaijan totaled $1.857 billion, while the overall total of direct investments in the country amounted to $6.658 billion. During the same period, Azerbaijan invested $94.819 million in the UAE, out of a total of $3.117 billion in global investments.
