Volume of Kazakhstan's oil transit via BTC for December disclosed

Some 122,000 tons of Kazakhstan oil will be supplied from Aktau to Baku for further export via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in December, Kaztransoil company said in response to Report's inquiry.

"In December, based on shippers' orders for the subsequent transportation of Kazakhstan oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline (from Aktau port), it will be carried out within the schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy. This schedule provides for the transportation of 122,000 tons of oil from Aktau port in December 2024," the statement says.

It was reported that during January-November of the current year, this figure amounted to 1.34 million tons, 432,000 thousand tons (or 47%) more compared to the same period last year.

More than 1 million tons of Kazakhstan oil was sent from Aktau port to the BTC system in 2023.
