Ukraine's Presidential Office comments on receipt of first LNG batch from US

Ukraine has received liquefied natural gas from the US for the first time, which was delivered through Greece, said the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, Report informs.
"This is not just cargo - this is a strategic step," he noted.
A shipment of approximately 100 million cubic meters of gas or 1 TWh of energy aboard the Gaslog Savannah arrived at the Revithoussa LNG terminal on Friday morning. The LNG will be regasified and transferred through the European Union and Ukraine gas networks.
This delivery is part of more global measures aimed at strengthening Ukraine's and Europe's energy security by reducing dependence on Russian gas.
