Uganda starts first oil drilling

Uganda, for the first time in history, has commissioned an oil drilling rig, Report informs referring to the Daily Monitor.
Production began at the Kingfisher oil field in the Western region of the country, in the districts of Hoima and Kikuube. The development of the reserves of this deposit will allow the development of the economy of Uganda.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Uganda noted that the Kingfisher deposit is located south of Lake Albert.
The Australian company Hardman Resources confirmed the presence of oil reserves in the Lake Albert area several years ago.
