Türkiye remains top buyer of Azerbaijani gas

Azerbaijan exported over 9.81 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Türkiye in 2024, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.

The value of Azerbaijani gas supplied to Türkiye in 2024 exceeded $2.985 billion.

Compared to 2023, exports decreased by 9.6% in quantitative terms and by 18.9% in value terms.

Overall, in 2024, Azerbaijan exported over 25.77 billion cubic meters of gas (-3.2% YoY) worth $8.406 billion (-38.5% YoY).

In 2024, Azerbaijan supplied gas to 6 countries - Italy, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Türkiye, and Georgia.

Türkiye, Italy, and Georgia are the TOP 3 buyers of Azerbaijani gas.

Türkiye ranked first among countries purchasing Azerbaijani gas - 38.1% of gas exported from Azerbaijan last year went to this country.

Italy ranked second with a 38% share. This country was supplied with 9.798 billion cubic meters of gas (-8.5% YoY) worth $4.052 billion (-1.98 times YoY).

Georgia ranks third among countries purchasing Azerbaijani gas with a 12.7% share. This country was supplied with 3.266 billion cubic meters of gas (+1.5 times YoY) worth $322.7 million (-6.9% YoY).
