STAR refinery's capacity exceeds 13 million tons

The repair and modernization works at the STAR Refinery in 2024 were successfully completed, taking the plant's oil processing capacity to over 13 million tons per year, SOCAR Turkiye Enerji CEO Elchin Ibadov said at a press conference in Istanbul, according to Report.

"STAR Refinery is Türkiye's largest oil refining facility. It covers 18% of Türkiye's petroleum products needs. The repair and modernization works at STAR Refinery lasted two months, during which one DCU unit was replaced, with $56 million allocated for these purposes," said Ibadov.
