STAR refinery reveals aviation fuel output in September

In September 2024, the STAR oil refinery, an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced nearly 20,699 tons of aviation fuel (kerosene fuel for jet engines), Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

Compared to the same month last year, the production sharply dropped by 7.2 times or 127,337 tons.

Overall, oil refineries in Türkiye produced more than 461,790 tons of aviation fuel in September, which is 96,414 tons or 17.3% more year-on-year.

STAR was inaugurated on October 19, 2018. The plant began operating at full capacity in September 2019. The plant has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 13 million tons.
