STAR refinery reduced crude oil imports in October

In October 2024, STAR Oil Refinery, an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye imported 201,588 tons of crude oil, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
This amounts to 8.89% of crude oil imported to Türkiye.
The volume of oil imported for the STAR refinery was 690,282 tons or 4.42 times less compared to the same month in 2023.
In October of last year, oil refineries producing petroleum products in Türkiye imported just over 2.18 million tons of crude oil, which is 762,297 tons or 25.9% less compared to the same month in 2023.
