STAR oil refinery sees drop in petroleum coke output

In January 2024, the STAR Oil Refinery, an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced about 65,762 tons of petroleum coke, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulation Authority (EMRA).
EMRA’s data shows that this is a decrease of 10,360 tons, or 13.6 percent, compared to the same period in 2023.
Overall, oil refineries in Türkiye produced nearly 126,628 tons of petroleum coke in January 2024, which is 29,484 tons, or 18.9 percent, less than in January 2023.
