SOCAR’s STAR refinery increases production in Jan–May

SOCAR’s STAR oil refinery in Türkiye produced more than 2,817,716 tons of diesel fuel during the five months of this year, Report informs, citing Türkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
This marks an increase of 8,871 tons, or 0.32%, compared to the same period in 2024.
In May alone, the refinery produced approximately 530,633 tons of diesel, up by 86,511 tons, or 19.5%, from April 2024.
Overall, Türkiye’s refineries produced more than 6,974,865 tons of diesel from January to May 2025 — a 3.9% rise, or 263,372 tons more than the same period last year.
In May, Turkish refineries produced around 1,413,305 tons of diesel, showing a year-on-year increase of 122,893 tons, or 9.5%.
