SOCAR's refinery in Türkiye reduces LPG production by over 31%

In August 2024, STAR Oil Refinery (SOCAR), an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced nearly 11,250 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), 5,144 tons or 31.4% less compared to August 2023, Report informs, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
During the reporting period, oil refineries in Türkiye produced a total of more than 93,287 tons of LPG, which is 10,787 tons or 10.4% less compared to August 2023.
STAR's opening was on October 19, 2018. The plant began operating at full capacity in September 2019. The plant has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 13 million tons.
